MLB Betting – St. Louis Cardinals at Philadelphia Phillies (September 19th)

Roy Halladay (18-5, 2.34 ERA) will try for win number 19 on Monday night when his Phillies (1.465*) close out their home set against St. Louis (3.010*).

Halladay dominated the last-place Astros in his most recent outing, throwing nine shutout innings while giving up just six hits and fanning seven hitters in that victory.

The right-hander last faced the Cardinals back on June 21 in St. Louis, settling for a no-decision after surrendering only one run on four hits over six innings.

Kyle Lohse (13-8, 3.62 ERA) heads to the hill for the Cardinals on Monday night; the right-hander lost to the Phillies on June 22 (three runs in eight innings pitched).

St. Louis Cardinals (3.010*), Philadelphia Phillies (1.465*)

MLB Betting – Pittsburgh Pirates at Arizona Diamondbacks (September 19th)

The Diamondbacks (1.403*) send 19-game winner Ian Kennedy (19-4, 2.99 ERA) to the mound on Monday night as they begin a three-game set against the Pirates (3.310*).

Right-hander Kennedy failed to pick up his 20th win last time out, taking a no-decision against the Dodgers after allowing four runs on seven hits in six innings.

The Diamondbacks, though, still managed to win that contest by a 5-4 score and the team has paid off with nine wins over Kennedy's 10 most recent trips to the hill.

Jeff Karstens (9-8, 3.45 ERA) is the Pirates' scheduled starter for Monday; the right-hander surrendered four runs in just 4 1-3 innings against St. Louis last game.

Pittsburgh Pirates (3.310*), Arizona Diamondbacks (1.403*)

MLB Betting – Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs (September 20th)

Closing in on the NL Central title, the Brewers (1.690*) go with Shaun Marcum (12-7, 3.40 ERA) on Tuesday night as they continue their road series against the Cubs (2.360*).

Marcum will be trying to snap a personal two-game losing streak when he hits the hill on Tuesday, surrendering 11 runs on 17 hits over his last 11 2-3 innings pitched.

He handled the Cubs when he faced them at home back on July 28, however, giving up just two runs on seven hits over six innings while fanning four.

Randy Wells (7-4, 4.93 ERA) pitches for the Cubs on Tuesday; the right-hander was Marcum's opposition on July 28, allowing four runs in six innings in that defeat.

Milwaukee Brewers (1.690*) Chicago Cubs (2.360*)

The Red Sox will be looking to hold off the Rays in the American League's Wild Card race this week, with Boston staying home and Tampa Bay staying on the road.

The Red Sox begin the week with four games against the last-place Orioles, including a doubleheader on Monday. They'll then play a weekend set in New York.

The Rays get their week started on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium, playing four games there in three days before heading home for a weekend series vs. Toronto.
