Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles (September 26th)

Josh Beckett (13-6, 2.70 ERA) gets the ball for the Red Sox (1.461*) on Monday night as they open up a crucial season-ending series on the road against the Orioles (3.030*).

Right-hander Beckett faltered in his most recent start against Baltimore last week, surrendering six runs on seven hits over 7 1-3 innings in that day's defeat.

Overall Beckett is 4-3 with three no-decisions in his past 10 trips to the mound, with the Wild Card hopefuls from Boston having picked up six wins over those contests.

The Orioles are expected to send Tommy Hunter (4-4, 4.86 ERA) to the hill on Monday night; Hunter gave up four runs in 6 2-3 innings against Boston last week.

Boston Red Sox (1.461*) Baltimore Orioles (3.030*)

Texas Rangers at Los Angeles Angels (September 26th)

Champions of the AL West division, the Rangers (2.160*) will begin the final series of their regular-season schedule on Monday night against the Angels (1.813*) over in Los Angeles.

Texas are slated to use C.J. Wilson (16-7, 2.97 ERA) in Monday's game, with the left-hander coming off a winning performance over the A's where he gave up just two runs in six innings.

Dan Haren (16-9, 3.16 ERA) is Los Angeles' probable pitcher for Monday, after a dominant victory versus the Blue Jays last week (one run in eight innings).

Right-hander Haren didn't fare as well when he took on the Rangers back on August 26, surrendering seven runs on 11 hits in 4 1-3 innings in that loss.

Texas Rangers (2.160*), Los Angeles Angels (1.813*)

Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves (September 27th)

Having clinched the best record in the National League, the Phillies (1.746*) won't need to go all out on Tuesday night as they continue their road series against the Braves (2.260*).

Taking the mound for Philadelphia on Tuesday will be Roy Oswalt (8-10, 3.86 ERA), who gave up two runs over seven innings against the Braves two weeks ago

Derek Lowe (9-16, 4.92 ERA) counters on Tuesday for a Braves team that heads into this series still looking to lock down the Wild Card spot in the National League.

Lowe has picked up a loss in each of his past four trips to the mound and he was beaten by the Phillies on September 5, allowing seven runs in five innings pitched.

Philadelphia Phillies (1.746*), Atlanta Braves (2.260*)

    Round-Up

The Rays (1.465*) continue their late-season charge for the American League's Wild Card berth on Monday when they open a three-game set at home against the Yankees (3.010*).

Tampa Bay is expected to start James Shields (15-12, 2.84 ERA) in their Monday contest, with Jeremy Hellickson (13-10, 2.90 ERA) on tap for Tuesday's matchup.

The Cardinals (1.645*) close out their final week on the road against the Astros (2.460*), with Jaime Garcia (13-7, 3.45 ERA) getting the ball in Monday night's opener.
